No Better Friend tells the incredible true story of Frank Williams, a radarman in Britain’s Royal Air Force, and Judy, a purebred pointer, who met as prisoners of war during World War II. Judy, who became the war’s only official canine POW, was a fiercely loyal dog who sensed danger and warned her fellow prisoners of imminent attacks. Judy was also very intelligent and was able to follow Frank’s commands without him saying a word. I was not able to put down this book as I always wondered what was going to happen next.
Frank and Judy’s friendship, an unbreakable bond forged in the worst circumstances, is one of the great recently uncovered stories of World War II.
I just read the book No Better Friend. I liked it. I liked it so, so, so, so, so much. If I could read any book it would be this one. It is a good book. It is about a dog. I like dogs. Dogs are so cute and fluffy. Judy is a good name for a dog. If you should read any book it should be this one.
